The Sontarans

Description: Short, strong creatures
in humanoid form, with rounded,

   The race of Sontarans, are extremely dedicated to total war, in fact, they were bred for war. They have been in a epic fight with the Rutan Host for millennia. They even tried to invade Gallifrey, the planet of the Time Lords. The Sontarans will attack any planet or person, if they feel it will give them a strategic advantage over their enemies.

     Their home world (Sontar) is a planet with high gravity,which explains somewhat, the Sontarans, stunted growth. The Sontarans reproduce by cloning. It takes them roughly four minutes to create around 1 million clones. Since they are all clones, all of them are identical. The Sontarans also have a great sense of honour, despite their ruthlessness and brutality.

     The Sontarans can be stunned by a blow to the probic vent. Which is a small hole in their armor at the base of their neck. They believe, because of this, that they always have to face their enemies in battle. Even if it means that they will die.

50th Anniversary of The Doctor

      Most of us major Doctor Who fans, already know that we will be seeing the remaining 8 episodes of season 7 in 2013. But putting that to the side for a moment, we begin to ask, what will be happening for the 50th anniversary of our favorite show? In the latest episode of Doctor Who Magazine (DWM) Matt Smith confirms that there will be MULTIPLE specials for this shows 50th anniversary.

     Smith says that Stevens first anniversary episode is, "as brilliant and as mental as you'd expect from Steven." Smith also adds that when presented with the material for the next series, Steven Moffat asked him; "Are you ready to cry?"

     When pressed for more details, Smith replied with; "I know absolutely nothing that I can tell you."

    

 Doctor Who is being more officially recognized because The Royal Mail is coming out with a stamp to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

The Five Doctors (1983)

     In this special episode the first five incarnations of The Doctor are thrust together on their home planet of Gallifrey. This happens because of a forbidden time scoop device. The Fourth Doctor finds himself trapped in the time vortex, but the others find themselves, together with a few of their old companions to help them out. And the Fifth Doctor and his companions are all in the "Death Zone".
     Here they face a Dalek, a Yeti, a Quicksilver Raston Warrior Robot, and numerous Cybermen. The Master also has an appearance in this episode. He is summoned by The High Council of Time lords to help The Doctor.
     It turns out that President Borusa is the mysterious operator of the time scoop device. He wants to use The Doctors to breach the defences of the Dark Tower (Rassilon's Tomb) so that he can enter there and claim immortality. When he does so though, he is condemned by Rassilon to external existance in the form of a living statue.
     At the end of this episode, Chancellor Flavia asks that the Doctor stays on Gallifrey to take up duties as Time Lord President. The Doctor gives Flavia full deputy powers until he returns, then leaves in his TARDIS.

         How she came to leave The Doctor

     One of the most notable events of the 22nd century was the invasion of Earth and the Solar system by the Daleks in 2157. The resulting decade-long occupation of the Daleks was ended by the First Doctor and his companions, Susan, Ian Chesterton, and Barbara Wright. Susan fell in love here with David Campbell, ultimately marrying him and leaving behind her life aboard the TARDIS. They eventually had a son, Alex.

The First of Many

     The first Doctor had many companions. Although he had many, the first of which, Susan Foreman, was special. She was a Time Lord. She played in Doctor Who from 1963-1964. She played in the first season and two episodes of the second. She returned for the feature-length 20th anniversary episode The Five Doctors in 1983.

     As well as being a Time Lord, she was the doctors granddaughter. Susan and The Doctor had been traveling together for an unknown amount of time when they have to stop in London to make repairs on the TARDIS. The name Foreman was an alibi that she picked up from the owner of the junkyard that they stayed in while making repairs. The owners name was "I. M. Foreman".


     Susan eventually leaves The Doctor after The Dalek Invasion of Earth. During the events of that story, Susan falls in love with David Campbell, a young freedom fighter in the 22nd century. However, Susan felt that she has to stay with The Doctor and take care of him. The Doctor, realizing that Susan is now a grown woman and deserves a future away from him, locks her out of the TARDIS and leaves her in London to start her own life.
